Celebrado este domingo en The Forum de Morningside Park en Los Ángeles.
Una vez más, MTV ha consagrado a lo mejor de la música en los MTV Video Music Awards. El evento fue conducido por Katy Perry, quien llegó al escenario vestida de astronauta. El encargado de abrir el evento fue Kendrick Lamar, el artista con más nominaciones en toda la noche y que se llevó más premios (Mejor Artista Hip Hop, Mejor Dirección, Mejor Dirección de Arte, Mejor Coreografía y Video del Año por HUMBLE).
El galardón a Artista del Año se lo llevó Ed Sheeran, mientras que el Mejor Video Pop fue para Fifth Harmony por Down.
