El venezolano Édgar Ramírez ha sido nominado por segunda vez a un premio Emmy en la categoría de Mejor Actor de Reparto en una Serie Limitada o Película para Televisión por su interpretación del diseñador Gianni Versace en la segunda temporada de American Crime Story. La primera nominación la recibió en 2011 por su interpretación de Illich Ramírez en el filme Carlos.
Esta mañana fueron anunciados los nominados a los Premios Emmy 2018 entre lo que cuales destaca la canditatura de Édgar Ramírez como Mejor Actor de Reparto en una Serie Limitada o Película para Televisión; sin embargo, el venezolano no la tendrá fácil ya que compite contra el veterano Jeff Daniels y su compañeros Ricky Martin y Finn Wittrock.
Ramírez dio vida al reconocido diseñador italiano Gianni Versace en American Crime Story: The Assasination of Gianni Versace, miniserie que aspira a siete estatuillas.
La ceremonia de premiación se llevará a cabo el próximo lunes 17 de septiembre.
